  19. Well it's not a cartridge. The diablo emulator is just a program you
  20. run before printing (or at startup). Any text output is redirected to
  21. the dma bus. It does also do bitmaps however (ghostscript and tex
  22. use this for example). I don't think this was a diablo feature :-)

  24. The fx80 emulator is an accessory which is a bit smarter, but it uses
  25. a huge amount of memory (configurable, but for bitmaps you need at least
  26. about 1-1.5 meg) immediately after startup, while the diablo
  27. emulator just needs 1 meg when you print something.
