  17. I'm not _quite_ sure if it can be done in software; maybe you would
  18. have to set a jumper or exchange the controller ROMs. BTW: Old Macs 
  19. have the same problem, so maybe Syquest has a "Mac version" of their 
  20. controller firmware.

  22. TOS 2.06 fixed this problem by making at least two read attempts
  23. from each device on the ACSI bus, so that's another possibility
  24. to solve the problem.
