- I guess you mean the SLM804. It is also a 300 dpi dumb page printer.
- It is connected to the dma bus via a separate controller (the SLMC804).
- It prints about 8 pages per minute.

- Alas it does not understand postscript or PCL; for most programs
- you need some kind of emulator (Diablo 630 emulator is standard,
- FX80 emulator is available by DMC), other programs (Calamus for example)
- talk directly to the printer. Interfacing the printer yourself
- requires knowledge of the dma protocol.

- Compared to other printers it is said to be fast for bitmaps.
- Calamus prints really fast on it. I guess this is due to the fact
- that other printers are connected to the printer port.
