- You're kidding me, aren't you? I use Win 3.1 at work all day, and it's
- only bearable because I've got a '486/33 with 8M of RAM. OS/2's
- features/specs look MUCH nicer to me than NT ("Needs Terrabytes"). NT's
- market will be businesses that need better networking... what it offers
- (and what it takes to run it) pretty much rule it out for the "typical"
- home user.
-
- Win NT's beta needs 30-60M of disk space, and 12M or RAM. Without those
- resources, it's worse than Windows 3.0 an a '386sx (I've been reading a
- few OS/2 newsgroups and the Windows groups).
-
- Also, I'd rather stick with my ST than use any software from Microsoft.

- What are you running OS/2 on? Are you using the good filesystem, or the
- DOS filesystem? Your biases are showing if you expect me to think that
- OS/2 is slower than your ST system...

-
- I don't think you're looking in the right places for your software...

-
- Flash is a piece of junk... even Alan Page (the author) says that.
- Uniterm is _free_ and much better. STalker is commercial and much
- better. The terminal program that comes with Windoze is much worse, but
- what should you expect from the makers of DOS?
-
- If you look hard, you can find an ST ftp site to get software from. If
- you look hard through any of the zillion Mac/PC ftp sites, you can find
- the good software.
