  18. I would add a third alternative to Uniterm and Connect - Flash 1.6
  19. (*not* Flash 2). The vt100 emulation is very reliable although not as
  20. complete as Uniterm. Uniterm is also the fastest at character drawing
  21. for ST term programs that I've seen. Flash 1.6 is almost as fast but
  22. has other great features that make it a real workhorse (like that nice
  23. editable capture buffer with word wrap, etc.).

  25. Both Uniterm and Flash 1.6 (and maybe Connect, I tried it but can't 
  26. remember, I deleted it anyway) correctly handle long lines, which you
  27. wouldn't believe how many term programs screw up.

  29. I tried ANSI-Term, it rebooted my damn machine every time! What a joke.
  30. I tried the STalker 3.0 Demo, I found 3 or 4 bugs mostly with long lines
  31. within 10 minutes, also it was the slowest screen drawing I've ever seen.

  33. I don't like Gem window term programs (like Connect) because they're
  34. slow and if I want 24x80 I have to fiddle with GDOS fonts or something
  35. and get a crappy looking font. Until Atari makes machines with more than
  36. 640x480 res, 24x80 in a window will look like crap.

  38. So for me, Uniterm and Flash 1.6 are the only term programs. I have to
  39. try Freeze-dried term, I think that's the only one I haven't tried.
  40. I suspect Storm will be a good one too, although Basic makes me ill. :)
