- The ST's GEM environment is on ROM chips, so is faster, requires under
- 200k of RAM (not sure about newer versions). And doesn't NEED a Hard
- Drive to run!!

- The Basic ST, which will run Quite happily on a single-tasking, WIMPS
- environment, only has 512k of RAM, a 720k Floppy, and NO Hard-Drive.
- It works, and you still have around 350k of RAM free!!

- OS/2 and windows are HUGE, and VERY expensive, the ST's operating system
- comes built in - you don't have to pay for it! (Okay, the price of
- the chips is included of course but you get the idea 8-)
