I have had some experience with both, although I may have an outdated version of Uniterm. So forgive me if some of these STalker features are also now available on Uniterm. STalker has a scrollable window, which is a feature I miss a lot in my Uniterm. You can set the font to 8x16 which I think will give you your 49 lines (never counted them though). You can set up a whole list of numbers and set up the terminal characteristics, and auto-login sequence for each, and have STalker dial each in turn if yo
u want. And have it keep track of how much you're paying for your online time.
You can cut and paste right on the STalker window - another Uniterm non-feature I miss.
The nicest thing for me is that is interacts with STeno, so that you can can cut and paste between the two with ease, or use STeno as a capture buffer for STalker, or display them next to each other, etc. Plus both STalker and STeno are desk accessories.
The bad thing is that for some reason STalker stopped working for me. I upgraded my ST to 4 Megs, and it continued to work for some time, but now the modem exhibits a delay of over half a minute with every command I send it or send through it to the remote computer. I reloaded the original software onto my hard disk but this didn't help. Uniterm continues to behave as expected, so I just use that now in my laziness (er... lack of time) to find the source of the STalker problem.
But I'm sure that problem is specific to me. It was working fine for me for over 2 years. I'd still recommend paying money to get STalker's features.
