- My wife has recently gotten quite hot on the idea of
- getting our 4-year-old daughter comfortable with computers. So,
- since I still had my Atari system, I started setting it up for
- my daughter. The only problem we foresee at present is with the
- joystick: I'm not sure which one I have, exactly - it's a tall
- red one, with a white fire button on top of the stick, as well
- as a button on the base - but my daughter finds it very hard
- to manipulate, because her left hand is not strong enough to
- hold the base down hard enough so she can effectively manipu-
- late the stick.
-
- At one time, I had a nice little joystick: a cube-like
- base, with a small stick that could be manipulated with liter-
- ally just two fingers while you rested your wrist on the base.
- The stick moved so easily, you didn't need to hold the base
- down at all. Something like this would have been perfect for
- my daughter, but - unfortunately - that particular joystick
- broke some years ago.
-
- Anyway, what I was wondering is: can anyone point me to
- a source for some easy-to-manipulate joystick appropriate for
- my daughter? Or, if anyone happens to have a joystick like the
- one I described in my 2nd paragraph... would you consider sell-
- ing it?
-
- Thanks for any help.
