- As tax time approaches, I'm considering using a tax preparing software
- package on my IIe. I've gotten a poor review of the 1040Works
- AppleWorks templates. I've also gotten a raving review of HowardSoft's
- $250 package, but that's well out of my budget. I read a favorable
- review of Swiftax, but I'm leary of spending $70 on that unless it's
- really good. I also saw TaxCalc for $30 - more reasonable, but it's
- hard to tell what it does. Also mentioned in the Swiftax review article
- is Softfiew's graphics-oriented TaxView (GS-only?). I also attempted
- unsuccessfully to obtain a copy of a review done by inCider/A+ in
- March of 1990 on tax software for the //. If anyone has that issue
- lying around and would be willing to copy the article, I'd gladly
- reimburse you for your trouble and expense. Are there any other
- programs out there? Anyone used any of the aforementioned? Thanks.
