- Out of This World
- =================
-
- This is cool, buy it. If you want the best game available on GS at the moment,
- buy iy. If you want more cool games like this, buy it.
-
- It is simply fantastic.
-
- By the world, please don't believe what GS+ reviewer said about the speed.
- I am using a Zip GS 9/32, running the full screen mode is NOT slow. I think
- he might be using a 7MHz Transwarp or a Zip GS 8/16. I really like this
- game, especially in full screen mode.
-
- The sound is very realistic, there are a lot of nice details, and it really
- attracts me. On the other hand, although The Gate and Immortal is cool,
- I can't make myself to play for more than one level, but OOTW has make me
- played until level 5, in which I am not able to bypass the falling rocks.
-
- BTW, don't rely entirely on the walk through if you want to see what is in
- the game. In the second level, for example, when you are in the elevator,
- go UP, and you can see the entire alien city through the window! (thanks
- DOTW for the tip)
-
- I recommend this game whole-heartedly.
-
-
- Kangaroo
- ========
-
- Another cool piece of software. I especially like the nice detail they put
- in, like colour scrolled list with shadowed icons, hierachical menu with
- variable speed, etc.
-
- Basically, although this is a software you can survived without, it is a
- really nice addition. It is so much superior to SuperDataPath.
-
- I recommend it. It is one of the best add on for the GS. BTW, I did not
- encountered any problem with it. It just work as advertised, and gives you
- nice surprise everywhere.
-
-
- AutoArk
- =======
-
- I have written about it. The interface is good, the software works, but
- unfortunately it is slow.
-
- Personally I like it, but I hope it can be better. Now I am waiting for
- somebody to tell me more about HardPressed.
-
- I am wondering, why AA does not just expand in memory?
-
- I think this is worth a look.
-
-
- Shangai II
- ==========
-
- Unfortunately, this program is not well done. More expensive than OOTW, it
- does not reach my expectation.
-
- I have been a fan of Shanghai, and have completed all levels in Shanghai II
- on my IBM PS/2, except the Drangon's Eye game. I bought this game, hoping to
- play it on my GS.
-
- But this is what I found:
-
- 1. This game is slow! I am using a Zip 9/32, but it seems that it is slower
- than my Shanghai in 2.8 MHz! If you have played Majong GS before, you know
- the speed.
-
- 2. The graphics is not well designed. I am refering to the Majong tiles, it
- is not as good as the original Shanghai.
-
- 3. Fortunately it works without problem. But for a game at this price, I expect
- something better.
