  12. Last summer, a challenge was issued to the Apple IIGS community. That
  13. challenge was in the form of a contest. With the backing and support of
  14. Olivier Goguel of the FTA, we at inCider/A+ urged the IIGS community to
  15. seek greater heights, to have fun and to go where no one had gone before.
  16.  
  17. Some answered the challenge and some rose to the ocassion. I personally
  18. came online and said "blow my mind and make my day". And, guess what?
  19.  
  20. Yes, indeed, the first Bouncin'Ferno entries are starting to arrive in
  21. SillyKohn Valley.
  22.  
  23. I have seen the future. I have tasted greatness. I have feasted on the
  24. next generation of IIGS superstardom. I have climbed to new peaks. I have
  25. played new Bouncin'Ferno levels. I have gotten blisters on my fingers. I
  26. have smiled at the little bouncin fernos, and I have cursed at
  27. frustratingly insane new Ferno games.

  29. You rose to the challenge and you have succeeded. You did make my day. And
  30. my night, as well. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

  32. Over the next several weeks, I'll be sorting through the contest entries,
  33. and choosing the winners. And, prizes will be announced. And, of course,
  34. the best of the entries will be shared with the IIGS community.

  36. But, will that be it? Is Bouncin'Ferno really the last of its kind? Have
  37. we seen the last works of The FTA? Is the fun and excitement that the FTA
  38. generated for us over? Are memories of the FTA all that remain?
