- I haven't really explored this at length, but the one time I did, it
- didn't work.

- This probably means that you haven't set up the Mac side of things
- properly (see below)

- If you are the only one who is going to be using the machines, just set
- the sharing for the Mac hard drive icon and "all folders enclosed". Make
- sure you set up all the options so that the networkee ( :) can do them.

- I once talked to an Apple employee who came out to a school where I had a
- similar setup. He said that while Apple had heard of people using serial
- cables for networking, he didn't recommend it. I don't think I would
- either, but it does work.
