- Okay, then I will tell you of a specific ADB keyboard that WILL NOT work with
- the Apple IIgs.
-
- I purchased a keyboard called the SwitchBoard, a VERY nice keyboard which was
- designed to be the ultimate keyboard for Mac OR PC. Portions of the keyboard
- could be swapped around (keypad on the left side anyone?) and the control key
- and caps lock key could be exchanged. All in all it was exactly what I wanted
- and felt pretty good to the typing hand too.
-
- It didn't work on the GS. It worked fine on the Mac. Attached to my GS, I
- daisy chained it off of my existing keyboard and added the mouse to the end of
- the chain. The original GS keyboard and the mouse worked. The Swithboard
- didn't. I then changed the order and put the switchboard first, the GS
- keyboard 2nd and the mouse at the end of the chain. In THIS configuration
- NEITHER keyboard worked, but the mouse did.
-
- The summary of this is, there are SOME ADB devices for the Mac that just don't
- work on the GS.
