  12. If you intend to but haven't yet responded to my earlier post, here's some 
  13. more info:

  15. I am now convinced the problem lies with the AE memory test not being 
  16. compatible with ROM 03.  I had my son remove the memory card and try the 
  17. test and it failed in the same manner.  However, I also had him try the 
  18. Appleworks GS memory test and it works fine with the memory card removed 
  19. but fails with the card installed.  For this one I have two possible 
  20. answers.  First, that memory test is incompatible with the memory card 
  21. itself.  Second, the fact that the memory card is only equipped with 512k 
  22. instead of fully populated with 1.5Meg could be causing the problem.  Note, 
  23. I previously checked that card in the same 512k configuration on a ROM 01 
  24. machine and everything was hunky dory (using the AE memory test but not 
  25. AWGS).

  27. By the way, the memory card he has is an original GS-RAM (not GS-RAM II and 
  28. not GS-RAM Plus).  I haven't checked with AE Tech Support yet regarding the 
  29. compatibility of that card with ROM 03.  Anyone have their 900 number 
  30. handy?
