- Just an update on my situation with my //c....
-
- I had previously "spiked" my PDL 0 input (but not the PDL 1) with 13 volts of
- unfriendly external power, causing PDL 0 to read 0 OR 255 and nothing in
- between. I have since replaced the 556 chip and find that is not the problem.
- The only things left are a cappacitor, a resistor, and *sigh* the IOU. This is
- one of the three "biggie" chips; 40 pins, along with the CPU and MMU. Does
- anyone have a dead //c that they would mind pulling the IOU chip out of? It is
- one of only four chips on the board that is in a socket, and is not static
- sensitive. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated!
-
- thanks!
-
- later,
- Nathan
