- Hmm, things just hit the twilight zone here somewhat. I responded to
- Paul Gittings message in the wee hours this morning only now to see that
- his message is reproduced in full with no responses to me. The only
- additional thing I recall doing was a :w tobix from vi. The tobix file
- was ok. Why would that have said effect? The inteded post is below.
- Or at least I hope so as I just :r'd tobix to get it back.

- There is?!?!?! I didn't know that! Hope I can get a copy of it still!

-
- That seems both an accurate and fair assessment although I'm
- unclear on how the price could be that much better. Our docs
- don't need any overhaul, but they do need additional chapters and
- such. The technical quality and reliability, upgrades, and free
- technical support have been managing to be the additional chapters
- thus far ;-)

-
- On that subject, and to fill in some more details from past details
- I've posted here:
- * Comeau C++ 3.0b has been released and hence SAS/C 6.0/6.1 support
- is available. Hence official support for SAS/C 5.10a and above is available.
- * SAS/C CPR now works with Comeau C++ (C++ source is properly displayed,
- and you can do "C style debugging". That is, CPR is going to give you
- no intrinsiic support in tracking say a virtual function involved in a
- multi-level multiple inheritance hierarchy).
- * Official support for Manx Aztec C (5.0d and above) continues to be available.
- * Adding official DICE C support is going well and we think we are mere hours
- away from this release (Comeau C++ 3.0c With Templates). This is a free
- upgrade but we are unclear on whether this will be sent out on demand
- upon an informational letter or to everybody like 3.0b was).
- * Our general maintenance 3.0.1 release is going smoothly thus far.
- This will be a free upgrade sent to all. Further details soon.
- * Another general maintenance release, 3.0.2 is currently being planned.
- We will say more when we have a bit more detail on it.
-
- >And, as far as I
- >know,) no Amiga specific C++ libraries/classes come with Comeau C++.
-
- That is correct. However, we have publically stated that unless
- somebody make a quality release of said, we will do so during 1993.
