- There's one thing I've always wanted to know:
-
- I know the Digiview thing (never seen it myself)
- uses a trick to show more colours than there are c-registers
- available at the same screen..and so on.
-
- Then there's the good old plasma-trick, (copper-initiated
- blits to the colour-registers, right ?).
- But this is in lores (& 4 bitplane screen), while
- the Digiview-trick manages hires too.But in hires
- you just have 4 bitplane, and it's twice as many
- pixels/row -do DV really manage a colour-change every pixel ?
- (colour-change -->using different colour-registers AND
- changing the registers themselves ;)
- Or is there some kind of glitch in the screen ?
-
- I don't know much about AGA (palette-switching and stuff),
- will it be possible to show off a 24-bit picture using
- these kind of techniques ? (yes I'm ignorant today :)
