- Do you mean it doesn't have a battery backed clock? I assume that
- any machine that uses synchronous timing must have a clock, at least in
- machine readable form.

- Maybe if it doesn't have a human-readable clock, one could be written
- in software, but it might be hard. Once every cycle it would have to send
- out an update to the software clock.
