  14. I've had my 1200HD/80 for a week and a half.  The problem is this :)
  15. My Maxtor HD is acting flakey.  It started giving me block errors as
  16. I put stuff onto the HD.  Needless to say I immediately whipped out 
  17. HDtoolbox and did a "verify drive."  Five times I ran it and five
  18. times it came back with "No Errors"!  However when I would attempt to
  19. read certain files I still got the "block error" requestor.

  21. OK me thinks, let us do a low level format!  Well I tried and tried AND
  22. tried, but it never worked!  Nothing was ever deleted! No Low level format
  23. was ever done!  Before I yell at C= or my dealer, I thought I'd see if
  24. I was doing anything wrong.

  26. Can anybody give me any clues?

  33. P.S.  Sometimes I have to wait for ~30sec to a minute before I can boot from
  34.       the HD upon inital power-up (cold start).  Is this normal?  (I get the 
  35.       3.0 ROM screen with the floppy disk insertion animation)

  37. P.P.S. Does the 1200 have an internal RT clock?  Sysinfo says I have one, but
  38.        if so it is battery-disabled, because I always have to go to Prefs to
  39.        set the time...
