- I've been playing with the A1200 at a local dealer and proing over the
- specs ... I love it, and I'm ready to get one, but it seems to have one
- essential flaw that's going to be hard for me to get used to.
-
- The left-shift key and the return keys are quite a bit smaller than those
- on the Amiga keyboard that I've been used to for the last six years. I
- found that I was consistently missing those keys while typing (I'm pretty
- fast, and I had much more trouble with the left-shift than the return).
-
- The reason for this is the addition of two blank keys, same size as the
- letter keys. I couldn't figure out what they're for, and as usual, the
- clueless salesmen at Creative didn't know either (at least they didn't try
- to make something up this time).
-
- What's the deal with these keys? Do they serve some essential function?
- And is the keyboard (which otherwise seems exactly the same) replaceable
- with a standard A500 replacement keyboard?
-
- Thanks,
-
- Chuck
