  12. For the last year or so, I have enjoyed FINGERing various computers around
  13. the world when bored.  Most are pretty mundane, giving only userID's and
  14. port connections, assuming the machine allows FINGER to access it at all.
  15. And others, like one of our major ones here at the UW, are filled with
  16. 140+ non-imaginative people!
  17.  
  18. Well, in my travels, one machine stands out among all others.  It is the 
  19. epitome of creativity and comraderie among its users.  They seem to like
  20. to communicate with one another via the process names (and sometimes do
  21. so unintentionally, as one did in this case), which led to a very humorous
  22. sequence that I thought Amiga folks would enjoy).  This has got to be
  23. the most enjoyable place to watch.  I wish I could tell you where it is,
  24. but in asking the users mentioned in this post for permission to put this
  25. up here, there was some balking about mentioning the machine, which I 
  26. promised to respect.

  37. And a postscript to this is that one of them put up "Hi, Crystal!" in
  38. response to all of this correspondence about my enjoyment of the pnames!
