- I have used Notebook for several months now. I find it useful as a, well,
- on line notebook. I will run it in the background during program development.
- That way, it is handy for making notes and drawings of things I want to
- member during testing, later modifications, etc. My workspace is too
- cluttered for a regular paper and pencle notebook. And the notes don't
- get seperated from the directory where the development is going on.
-
- The program could use some real improvement in human interface. It uses
- some not very self evidant icons, no pull down menus, propritary file
- requesters. The type is rather small on the screen. The screen contains a
- sheet of notebook paper, shrunk down to fit on the right side of the screen,
- plus a large field of icons. This makes the wysiwyg sheet of paper have very
- difficult to read text unless you use a large font. The screen is interlaced,
- but the colors are well chosen to cut down on flicker.
-
- If you can get the program for $30-40 (US) range, it is ok. Any more is
- priced too high.
