- Enforcer is basically a developper software. Developpers use it to
- spot some misbehavied software and to track down errors in the
- code.
- Here an examle: There are some memory location in the Amiga that
- sholud not be written. If a misbeahvied programm writes in this area,
- Enforcer senses this attempt to write, blocks the write and reports
- this to the developper. This is called an 'enforcer hit'.
- Mamy user fond it to be useful to have enforcer always running on
- their maschine, beacuse it helps fine baddly written software, and
- prevents you from crashes.
- Enforcer needs a MMU (Memory Management Unit) to work. If you have a
- 68000 or 68010 you are out of luck. IF you have a 020 you need the MMU.
- 030 and 040 have the MMU builtin.
-
- Hope this helps.
