  11. Hello,
  12.     Recently I seem to have lost the ability to write
  13. to my hard drive. My setup is as follows.

  15. A2000
  16. GVP Impact Series 2 controller
  17. Quantum 105 drive (about 4 years old)
  18.  
  19. The problem is as follows.
  20. Reading from the hard drive is all right, as far as I can tell.
  21. No data seems to be corrupted.
  22. However whenever I try to write to the drive, the write does not
  23. take place.
  24. I can create a directory, warm reboot, and the directory is not there.
  25. Similarly, when I do a recursive copy, the copy fails a few files into
  26. the copy.

  29. I have also started having erratic behaviour with both internal and
  30. external floppies. Read write errors on previously good disks. Usually
  31. on the same track (but I forget the track number)

  33. These two problems occurred together, and quite suddenly.

  35. The one amiga place I called suggestd the Quantum is the problem.
  36. I'm not sure, since I have not had any read/write errors with it
  37. at all, in fours years of operation.

  39. Any help / advice would be greatly appreciated.  (Any chance the
  40. CIA's are the problem ?)
