Hey guys.  I got myself an A1200.  I bought a Mitsubishi Diamondscan to
go with it for $259!  I love it.  Why should I explain it when I have the
original post that tipped me off.  If you email you inquires, make your
questions to me very specific.

First, I'd like to apologize to the net for posting that message the other
day which some of you might have seen before I got it canceled.  I was
talking about some problems with Imagine attribute settings, decidedly
off-topic for this newsgroup... I was in fact trying to post to a
locally-distributed graphics-oriented newsgroup on a local BBS which also
carries c.s.a.marketplace, and somehow it ended up here.  This has happened
before but I don't think it will again.  I do not normally post net messages
from anyplace but here (Nyx), BTW.

And in order to make this topical and not a total waste of bandwidth, I have
some interesting news.  The Mitsubishi Diamondscan 1381A, which is a 14"
multiscanning monitor capable of syncing to all modes put out by every Amiga
so far including the 4000 AND has a composite input for use with a camera or
VCR (or DCTV), was recently discontinued and replaced with a model which
does not sync down to 15 Khz.  But with a little help from the net (thanks
again, Steve!), I've found a source for them - Source Electronics, in Indio
CA.  Their number is 1(800)245-8660, and they have "a few" Diamondscan
1381As left for the _very_ nice price of $259!  A multiscan for less than
the cost of a 1084, yes, it's true...  Talk to Lenny and he'll set you up.
Hurry and get 'em while they're hot, and tell them Usenet sent you.

(and if anyone knows about any other multiscanning monitors with composite
inputs out there for under $500, I'd appreciate an Email reply)
