- A friend has an amiga 2000, 80meg hard drive, 2 - 3.5 floppies,
- 1 - 5.25 floppy, bridge card, and a Commodore Genlock. It's connected
- to a Star NP-10 printer. He just had Workbench 2.0 installed.
-
- Because the Genlock is installed, he cannot boot the amiga unless he
- plugs in a video source and turns the video source on. (This was
- also true when he had the Workbench 1.3 ROM installed.) When it first
- got it, and it didn't seem to work, (no video camera connected), he
- took it in to the local commodore store and they sent it back to
- Commodore. They claim they could find nothing wrong. No one told him
- you needed the video source connected, he discovered it by accident
- one day.
-
- Is this the way the Genlock card is supposed to work? This is a
- major headache. Any solutions?
-
- Please e-mail responses since I'm not a regular reader of this news
- group, although I'll scan it for the next couple of days if thats the
- only way you can send it. Thanks in advance for any help.
