  13. I've noticed a problem with my A1200 and want to know if anyone else
  14. is having the same problem... On my A1200, approx 3 minutes after
  15. booting up, I start getting "sparkles" on my monitor.  Chunks of
  16. graphics info which are on the same scanline, but shifted a few inches
  17. to the right.  The resulting lines flicker quite badly, and distort
  18. the display quite a bit, although only in non-standard modes
  19. (DBL-NTSC, productivity, Super-Hires, etc.)  It looks find in normal
  20. NTSC/PAL resolutions.

  22. The lines appear to vanish after a few minutes, however if I then
  23. change the number of colours on the screen (say 8 to 256), the machine
  24. gurus.

  26. I figure this is a defect with one of the new chips (Alice?), and am
  27. going to return it early next week, however I was wondering if anyone
  28. else was having problems.

  30. Otherwise a great machine.  I tried a few games with it (including
  31. Leander), and they all worked fine.  I'll probably post a list later
  32. tommorow on a more complete selection of games.
