- At the "World of Commodore" expo in Pasadena, I saw a board called "Digital
- EditMaster", made by Digital Micronics. They claim that it could output
- animation or video to tape at 30fps in "lossless" mode(3:1 JPEG compression).
- This would mean you no longer need to record one frame at a time - easier on
- your VTR, and you don't need a single frame capable VTR anymore.
- The bottleneck seemed to be getting a hard-drive and SCSI controller that could
- keep up (I think they said it had to be able to move ~10 Mb/sec). They claimed
- that there are such drives and controllers for the Amiga.
- If anyone is using this board or a similar setup in such a fashion,
- I'd really like to hear about your experiences with it, as well as what kind
- of SCSI controller and what kind of hard drive you are using. Thanks.
