- I've got a wee problem here.
-
- Installed a Derringer last weekend. Runs great, very zippy, etc. My problem is
- that my system now thinks that I've got the ECS Denise installed. In the
- ScreenMode settings, SuperHiRes is now available to me (though it displays garbage
- when selected, obviously), and SysInfo and AIBB both report the ECS Denise. This
- would be all fine and dandy, due to the fact that I don't have a NEED to select this
- mode, thus would never have any problems with displaying trash. EXCEPT, when
- displaying Overscanned screens, the right half of a pic is completely black, until
- I shift the screen to the left. BLAM, the whole pic then displays correctly.
-
- My question is, what the heck could I have screwed up installing the Derringer,
- and why would it cause the funny effect of 'installing' an ECS Denise for me? I
- made sure to dissipate static electricity, was carefuly removing the 68000 and
- installing the Derringer, etc. So what's up?
-
- CBM people, if you have any clue as to why the OS suddenly thinks I've got a chip
- that I DON'T have, I'd REALLY appreciate some help. I can no longer do unattended
- single frame recording, and it's quite a bummer.
-
- My setup:
- A500 Rev 5 motherboard with 1meg Agnus and 1meg CHIP activated
- Xetec HD controller updated to latest specs
- WB2.04
- CSA Derringer with 25mhz 030/882 and 4meg RAM
-
- Haaalp! Please? :)
-
- Thanks muchly in advance,
-
- Jeff
