- I fighting a problem with my A2091 on my A2000, 4MB fast, 1MB chip, and 3
- CP3100 SCSI disks (100MB). The A2091 has 6.6 roms.
-
- The problem is when copying large files from disk to disk on the A2091 it
- hangs the SCSI bus, SCSI LED on solid. The rest of the Amiga still works
- just no disk accesses because of the hung bus. My SCSI configuration is
- as follows:
-
- 25 pin
- External
- Connector
- (empty)

- |
- A2091 --|
- |
- 50 pin
- on card
- connector

- |- CP3100 (unterminated, mounted on card)
- |
- |- CP3100 (unterminated, 5 1/4" bay mounted)
- |
- |- CP3100 (terminated 220/330, 3 1/2" bay mounted)

- The problem happens on any drive to any drive, with either 2 or 3 drives
- hooked up, with re-selection turned on or off (what is that anyway??), with
- copying with/without buffers and even if I remove my 4MB memory card and
- use a basic machine. I also tried just using a basic startup with none of
- the PD stuff I normally run.
-
- I even tried replacing the SCSI chip on the A2091 with the one from my A2090A
- (I bought the A2091 to replace the A2090A). I also tried a new SCSI cable.
-
- I CAN however copy disk to disk if I just use the A2090A or put 2 disks on
- my A2090A and just put one on the A2091 (the configuration I'm using currently
- to workaround this problem).
-
- I thought that the 6.6 ROMS were to fix a disk to disk copy problem. Any ideas
- what might be going on here? I bought the A2091 used so if it's likely a
- broken A2091, I guess I out of luck.
-
- Any ideas welcome,
-
