- A4000s are regularly over heating. My machine died 3 times yesterday.
-
- The Environmental specs in the A4000 manual state that the room temperature
- should be between 0 - 45 C (32 - 113 F). The room temperature yesterday would
- not have exceed 27 Degress C. So whats the problem. Other A4000 owners are
- experiencing the same difficulties here in Perth.
-
- The A4000 seems to have very poor air flow, so the internal temperatures
- probably do exceed the rated parameters. The 040's heat sink can your
- hand to touch.
-
- Should the heat sink be replaced with an 040 mounted fan?
-
- I haven't seen similar postings on the net but that is probably due to
- worlds population of 4000's being in the northern hemisphere, so you guys
- are currently suffering the cooler months. The A4000 has only just arrived in
- Australia (2 weeks ago) and it doesn't like the summer.
-
- I had better end this before my machine die again (its another nice day)
-
- See Ya.
