  13. The problem that I saw (software errors during install and 2.1
  14. workbench floppy boot) occurred after I installed the 2.04
  15. ROM. I should have made that clear. When I reverted back to the
  16. 1.3 ROM and 1.3 workbench I was able to access the RAM: device.

  18. The 2.04 ROM has a jumper across two pins. The installation
  19. indicates that the jumper is needed for older A500s. What does the
  20. jumper do?

  22. As an aside, I think the new OS is great. I just wish I could set
  23. preferences so that I can at least use my printer.
