- Hello,
-
- Any developers out there care to break the non-disclosure thing and tell
- us how the RTG support is going at CBM? I've been waiting for better
- graphics for my Amiga since I got my 2000 three and a half year ago
- ( I upgraded from an 500). One and a half years ago, I upgraded to a 3000, and
- now I'm still waiting (I'm out of money to upgrade to the 4000). An
- 100%-Amiga-loving guy can only have so much patience. There seems to be many
- quality graphics cards out there, but they won't get any general software
- support until there is an RTG standard.
-
- Here are some display cards I've heard of:
-
- DMI Revolver- way over priced for an 8 bit card!
- Visiona-24bit? Was it ever released? What's the price?
- Rembrandt-24bit, out of my price range
- OpalVision-24bit, the expansion options and the software support looks
- fantastic! if only it can go beyond normal Amiga resolution
- like 1024x768
- Domino-VGA card for amiga, cheap but only available in Germany
- Retina-24Bit? cheap, but again only in Germany/Europe
- Merlin-24bit? cheap, specs are greats, not released yet, hope it's not
- vaporware, again, maybe only in Germany/Europe
- Firecracker-uh, outdated and cost too much
- AVideo12/24- 12 and 24 bit, not enough information
- The_card_I_want- AGA specs, dirt cheap, Zorro III card
-
- Some of these cards have graphics processor on them, others are just
- framebuffers. At this point, I'll consider anything that's better than
- 320x400/HAM :(
