  23. : BTW, the Essence textures are excellent, and make Imagine seem like a
  24. : whole new package.  If you own and use Imagine, then I would strongly
  25. : suggest that you purchase Essence.  It will allow you to create (using
  26. : fractals) such things as smoke (from a simple cylinder) to
  27. : moons/planets/suns (using a sphere).

  29. There are a few things to remember though:
  30.  
  31.     1) Any textures for Imagine are surface-only textures.  This means that
  32.        "smoke" would only apply to the surface of that "cylinder".  Of course,
  33.        you can simulate volume textures with various tricks.
  34.  
  35.     2) The Essence textures ONLY work with an FPU equiped Amiga.  Be aware
  36.        of this when buying.  (I don't have one, so I can't use Essence
  37.        textures.)
