- : People, this is GREAT public service, and would suggest that other,
- : larger companies follow this example.
-
- Not to get into one-upmanship (okay, I am), but a friend and I send mail to
- Steve and got a response in one hour. Great service!

- : BTW, the Essence textures are excellent, and make Imagine seem like a
- : whole new package. If you own and use Imagine, then I would strongly
- : suggest that you purchase Essence. It will allow you to create (using
- : fractals) such things as smoke (from a simple cylinder) to
- : moons/planets/suns (using a sphere).
-
- There are a few things to remember though:
-
- 1) Any textures for Imagine are surface-only textures. This means that
- "smoke" would only apply to the surface of that "cylinder". Of course,
- you can simulate volume textures with various tricks.
-
- 2) The Essence textures ONLY work with an FPU equiped Amiga. Be aware
- of this when buying. (I don't have one, so I can't use Essence
- textures.)
-
- : I am not involved in any way with Apex Software, but am just a happy
- : customer... :)
-
- Ditto (but friend of a happy customer).
