  21. An excellent viewer for many kinds of iamges (IFF, GIF, JPEG) is 
  22. Vtek, that should be available on almost every amiga ftp site.

  36. Jpeg is a very sophisticated, but very efficient image packing algorithm,
  37. that uses (as far as I know) discrete fourier transformation, Cantor
  38. diagonalization and Huffmann coding. It is a little lossy, i. e. some
  39. pixels may have a slightly different colour than in the original, but
  40. compression rates of some 90% are common. Usually JPegs are 24bit Colour
  41. Images or 8bit Greyscale Images.
