  11. Does the current revision of AGA chip set have a byte mode display format.
  12. Sorry if this an old question.  Months ago, before AGA machines were generally
  13. available, several post specs. indicated that AGA could operate in either bit
  14. planed or byte mode.  I am currently experimenting with some graphics 
  15. operation that would simplified if a byte mode was available.  I sure writers 
  16. of PC emulates would love a byte mode to support VGA emulation simply.

  18. If there is a byte mode it does currently show up in the display database, but
  19. this proves nothing as modes like SUPER-HIRES (PAL or NTSC) wouldn't show up
  20. if PAL/NTSC monitor types were not installed.  Therefore, if there is a byte
  21. mode a new monitor type will be required to drive it (I Think, Therefore I'm
  22. Probably Wrong).
