- I've had it w/ ADPro2. It worked ok in the past, but now this is it.
- Check this out:
-
- I used a friend's program to save MPEG frames into QRT-24 bit files. My
- AREXX script kept barfing for some reason, so I did it by hand to see
- what was going on. I load in frame1.. Each frame is 160x128 qrt24bit.
- So I load 1st frame, change it to HAM, lores, nolace. Very small pic,
- about 16k. I save that into an ANIM using the ANIM saver that comes w/
- FRED (or MorphPlus.. it was on those disks). Saved ok. I load QRT
- frame 2, execute, save.. but when I try to append, the requester just
- vanishes. I check CHIP memory.. 8k!?!? And then, to top it all off,
- when I exit ADPro, it "wraps up" the ANIM into a nice 8Meg file. Where
- the hell did those 8Megs come from? BTW, 8M was how much space I had
- left on that partition. I'd hate to imagine the file size if I had 200M
- free. Conclusion? *PUKE* Time to look into something more memory
- efficient. Is there an ImageMaster demo lying around?
-
- On a side note, there are NO good PD anim-builders for the Amiga. All the
- ones I tried couldn't handle combining HAM pics into a working anim.
- This is pretty pathetic, considering ANIM format has been around for
- years.
