- Has anyone gotten MegaFortress to work on a 4000?
-
- I just bought this game yesterday (at Software Etc.'s overinflated price
- even). There seems to be good news and bad news:
-
- The good news - it looks like the port was well done. It uses the C=
- "installer" program to install, and it even seems to run mostly OK on a
- 4000, which is a rare suprise.
-
- The bad news - there is one critical bug which seems to make it
- completely unplayable. In the co-pilot station, using the "EVS" crashes
- the system. Just entering the game, then clicking on "INT", "RNGE", and
- "RDR" in turn always produces a system crash. There may be other
- possibilities as well.
-
- Its rather disappointing, since it looks like a fun game, and looks like
- a good port to the Amiga in other respects. Most flight sims don't seem
- to like AGA at all and require the 4000 to be booted in ECS mode to run.
- Megafortress seems to work OK even when the system is booted in AGA
- mode.
