- Hi, I had problems with it crashing as well. Two things I noticed are:
-
- 1) Always start from the icon (or maybe CLI). I had Civilization set up in
- a dock and on the Tools menu using TollManager. Every time I started the game
- from those two sources, it would crash within minutes. Starting from the icon
- I have never had a problem.
-
- 2) When quitting to DOS, always use the keyboard to highlight the "Yesy, I
- want to quit" item instead of the mouse. It crashed every time when I used th
- mouse to quit.
-
- One More) If you try to switch screens while playing, it will let you,
- however any inputs you put in with the mouse (and maybe with the keys) will
- still get registered in Civilization.
-
- BTW, I finally finished a game. All the others were too boring/easy or too
- hard. Finally, I had a fun and challenging game at the middle level (prince?)
- . Plus, I was able to finish and launch the spaceship. I colonized with abou
- t three years remaining. I won. Then it allowed me to kepp playing (without
- accumulating more points). I then changes all production to nukes galore.
- That was fun.
-
- Question: I always had a 0% probablitilty of success with the spaceship.
- So I kept adding and adding stuff. Everything, including fuel said I had
- enough. So I went ahead and .... Oh, wait nevermind, the problem ended up
- being that I had the built a sh_tload of structure parts. Didn't have enough.
