  14.  These are my first impressions concerning X-Comm 1.00, and should not be
  15.     taken as flaming or effervescing...

  17.  X-Comm 1.00 seems like it has some major capabilities: it combines Snapping
  18.     (from Buffer, as far as I can tell... maybe I missed something), 
  19.     external emulations, and even the one thing I have been begging for -
  20.     it adds itself to the Tool Menu when Iconified...

  22.  However, there are a couple of things that bother me - it seems to ignore
  23.     "ctrl-C" when I type it, it loses characters on certain specific
  24.     occasions, and it misbehaves when used with ELM (fails to delete some
  25.     lines, goes wild when jumping back and forth...) - nothing serious,
  26.     but annoying.

  28. So, how does it compare?  Given some work, I would become very loyal to this
  29.     term program; as loyal as I was to JR-Comm, even though I never hot
  30.     officially registered (then again, my check was never cancelled either
  31.     so it is probably the Post Office's fault).  Things I would like to see,
  32.     and which would cause me to register the program: effective external
  33.     emulations (it GURU'd when I used it); Snapping from on-screen (I just
  34.     probably missed it); true VT-100 handling, rather than simple ANSI
  35.     emulation; if possible, make it possible to receive text and do other
  36.     things!  These are the same gripes I have with Term 2.4; right down
  37.     to the failure to do anything else while receiving text.  But, as I
  38.     said earlier, these are good programs (X-Comm seems to have the advan-
  39.     tage, but he probably fixed what he saw wrong with Term...), and when
  40.     mature, will be far superior programs.  Until the terms somehow fit
  41.     to my needs (and, before anyone starts, I'm not *Demanding* anything-
  42.     the programmers can do what they want...), I am forced to stick with
  43.     JR-Comm 1.02a.  Maybe when terminus comes out...
