  31. i've had this problem as well, it only occurs (but is reliable) when I
  32. do serious disk accesses during the download (esp. un-lha'ing fairly
  33. long files).  i think it's possible it only occurs when i'm doing
  34. writes.  i have been using xprzmodem v2.51 (the latest on wuarchive)
  35. and will switch to 2.52 to see if that helps, although the readme file
  36. said it was a very minor update.  not sure what the relevant variable
  37. might be, but i'm running vlt 5.576 as welll, on an a2000 w/40MHz 030,
  38. transmitting up to 14,400 with compression on a supra modem, and my
  39. disk is a Quantum 120LPS off a GVP controller.  i should mention that
  40. i've always suspected xprzmodem as the culprit, just because it's been
  41. buggy in other ways as well.  but if someone's gotten it to work,
  42. maybe not.
