  37.   Especially if your university already has a latex .sty file
  38.   for your thesis format.  That alone should make you want to learn
  39.   and use LaTeX.  You might be able to find over ftp some of the
  40.   more major university thesis styles.

  42.   I used LaTeX for my thesis and passed the thesis secretary on the
  43.   first try.  I would hate to have to sit their with PageStream or
  44.   ProPage and muck with the margins and header, footer, foot-note,
  45.   equation styles all by myself and end up having to re-do the whole
  46.   thing because the thesis secretary rejected it!

  62.   Wish I had AmigaTeX back then.  I had to work on a vt100 using
  63.   "vi"!  No previewer so we wasted a lot of trees...
