- With the new year, and a new version of the OS, I find that my
- venerable copy of WordPerfect Library is crankier than ever (with evil
- enforcer hits). I'm looking for recommendations on a replacement.
-
- One thing I need is an Address book/Phone book, preferably one that
- can dial the phone (using a modem) and print envelopes. An AREXX port
- is almost a necessity. It seems there are a bunch of those around on
- fish disks, so I can try a PD one if there aren't better ones out
- there to be bought.
-
- One of the most interesting is Contact (fish 618). Is it an earlier
- version of the commercial program called Contact 2.0?
-
- What seems harder to find for free is appointment calendar s/w. I'm
- happy to pay lots of money for good s/w. I want something that lets me
- schedule repeating appointments and set alarms. e.g. Monday through
- Friday start an audio alarm at 8 in the morning to tell me to get up
- and go to work, or a reminder the day before the third Sunday of each
- month that I have an Amiga Developers Forum meeting to go to.) It has
- to be enforcer clean, run under AmigaOS 3.0, and should have an AREXX
- port. A smart, prioritized todo list would also be good.
-
- What are my options? What do people recommend?
-
- I know there is something called Nag Plus by Gramma Software, and
- other things called Gold Disk Office, Mini Office, Notebook, Top Form,
- and Contact 2.0. Could any of those meet my requirements?
-
- Please email if you have any recommendations, or warnings, and I'll
- post a summary. Thanks.
