- Definitely - in fact, the Amiga was probably doing it before Windows was.
- I have no problems with ProWrite 3.3 on my 3000 under 2.04 - it prints fine,
- about the same as Final Copy II (Yes, Excellence!'s print quality is less
- than excellent). However, a friend of mine has a 24 pin printer and gets
- worse output than I do on my double-pass 9 pin Epson FX-850 with ProWrite.
- The problem with Final Copy is its complete disregard for system fonts -
- you cannot use CG (vector outline) fonts with it, as you can with ProWrite.
- Aside from that, and Final Copy's even-less-standard interface (it looks
- sort of like they tried to make it look like a NeXT, only the resolution's
- lower, so all the gadgets are just huge), I would take Final Copy II. It
- has a much nicer dictionary and thesaurus (I wouldn't be surprised if it's
- the same one that Excellence! uses), nice structured drawing tools, and more.
- Maybe someone at Softwood will fix the interface to adhere to the Style guide
- and add support for CG fonts - if they do, they'll convert me from ProWrite
- 3.3 in an instant.
