- Yeah... a new FAQ, I LIKE!! :)
-
- I liked it :), One thing I've had problems with that you might want
- to add to the FAQ is the hang on the boot problem. I've had the
- problem in the past and when I go though the motions of booting
- from a floppy and three things will some times happen, FSCK will
- bomb bad on block #2 (supper block?), my inittab is intack along with
- a lack of a utmp.lck file. And to quote out of context from the 3b2 FAQ,
- when a fsck returns a cannot read block #2 you are up the creek and have
- to rebuild (and to also misss quote). I have a very bad feeling my partition
- is in a very bad sector of the drive (thats where most of my bad block
- entries are from). I'm not sure what is really happening but I thought I'd
- pass that one along for the FAQ. Maybe you could label this as one time
- out of a 1000. Oh I forgot to mention, thanks to the people who have helped
- me in the past with this and may other 3b1 problems :)
