- First, I'd like to say sorry to all of the people that have responded
- to me and I have not replied back to. I appretiate all of the assistance
- that each one of you have given me. My system was down and would not
- let me send out mail (so I have a dir full of bounced back letters) and when
- this problem was fixed the system deleted my mail folder so I did not
- have any of the addresses to reply to. Sorry
-
- Well, I have a new problem. I bought a UNIX PC with a bad HD and I
- replaced the drive. I've been scrounging around to get a dignostic
- disk to test things (thanks to all who have helped me!!) and I finally
- got one, but I still have the same problem. It cannot find the HD. The
- HD light lights on booting so I know that it is there (besides the fact that
- I installed So I DO know that it is there, but it doesn't). I tested
- the cables to check for a possible bad connection, but to no avail.
- Is there any way that I could test to see if there is a mechanical problem?
- Something that could be remedied by little 'ole me? I want to know
- wether or not I sould return the HD while I can and sell the system for
- parts or fix the sucker. I'm open to anything.
