- I'm posting this request for a friend who doesn't have net access.
-
- He has a pair of Texas Instruments "luggable" PC's. The exterior cabnetry
- apparently bears no indication of model name or model. The units contain
- 8088 CPU's and have color monitors. Both units return the same error when trying
- to boot from MS-DOS diskettes (He's tried several different DOS versions
- from 2 to 5.0) The error reported is something like "non-system diskette;insert
- TI operating system diskette". Both machines were operational years ago when
- they were booted with some TI diskettes which were accidently over-written or
- lost (I can't remember what exactly he said happened). All attempts he has made
- to obtain operating system diskettes from TI have failed.
-
- Anyone with ideas on how he could get these relics running please respond to my
- E-mail.Thanks.
