- Never rains but it pours; I just posted essentially the same query
- a couple of weeks ago. In answer, I was pointed at the pico editor,
- which is bundled with the pine mail-handler package. I grabbed them
- both, and they're GREAT. My wife, who was the reason I needed a simple
- editor, figure pico out instantly, with no documentation or anything;
- she just started using it and has been happy ever since (vi was just
- about to destroy our marriage.)
-
- Here's the relevant information on locating pine/pico:
-
- >Ftp to ftp.cac.washington.edu and get /pine/pine3.05.tar.Z to get the
- >Pine mailer and Pico editor together; you can extract and compile only
- >pico if you wish.

- Oh, by the way, it built just about as flawlessly as I've ever seen
- anything build -- of course, I'm using a Sparc 1+, not exactly the
- world's most obscure system.
