  17. I am new to the Andrew system and am actually looking for a system to
  18. replace our mail system and maybe some other database services.

  20. We are a site with roughly 600 workstations (AIX 3.2, i486 SVR4 on NCR and
  21. a bunch of Sparc and sun386i).  We have AFS installed for the AIX machines
  22. and the rest use NFS. In addition, we have ~200 PCs using PC-NFS and Novell.

  24. Mail is heavily based on an Ultrix server which speaks smtp (sendmail) and
  25. DECnet.  It houses also a central /usr/spool/mail which is mounted by
  26. all clients using NFS.

  28. I am looking for a system which will not have a single point of failure,
  29. and maybe supplies some other goodies.

  32. Can anyone share their experience with moving to Andrew (if applicable) ,
  33. and how does it fit with the above site description.
