- Can anybody give me any pointers to information relating to
- bugs/debugging SunOS BIND and NIS conflicts?
-
- I am running SunOS 4.1.2 and _sometimes_ find that when the
- system administrator has changed the NIS database, that,
-
- 1. sometimes i have to restart sendmail again since it deosn't
- seem to know the names of any hosts outside our LAN
- once sendmail starts up again, it runs fine.
-
- 2. more seriously, we have to use IP addresses and not names to ping/
- ftp/telnet to outside hosts. nslookup (which uses a named on another
- machine) works fine.
-
-
- please email ray@exicom.OZ.AU
-
- any replies will be received most gratefully
